課程概述

This course includes two parts. The first is the concept and fundamentals of bioprocess. And the second is the trends of development in biotechnology. We will let students realize the key issues and the frontiers in modern biotechnology and their application in bioprocess for materials production.
 

課程目標
This course is designed for students with a science/engineering background to learn fundamentals of bioengineering and frontiers of biotechnology. The objective of the course is to provide students with a comprehensive and concise overview of engineering principles applying to biotechnological processes with an emphases on stoichiometric and kinetic analysis and quantitative synthesis of biological knowledge, and the recent developed key issues in biotechnology..  
課程要求
Students are expected to have had biochemistry or microbiology or cell biology, and concept of differential equations, or are at senior undergraduate or graduate levels.
